BBC just as gullible as the public?

BBC Crimewatch the flagship crime buster’s programme recently admitted, they have been the target of organised crime; by scam employment agencies; for walk-on parts in their criminal case reconstructions.

Members of the public were duped into thinking that the agencies were legitimate; when clearly the reverse was true.

The BBC had told the actors union Equity; that they will only use agencies that are on their recommended list; however this 'best practice' appears to have been ignored.

It is thought that the BBC will now investigate whether the agencies they use in the future, charge up-front fees; since clearly no legitimate agency - charges up-front.

The BBC is the biggest employer of walk-on actors [supporting artists]...

Agencies are being encouraged to join trade association:
